NDT Laboratory
In order to ensure the quality of the manufacturing components or the approval of industrial processes, standard testing in approved laboratories, is one of the quality control tools used by manufacturers and contractors, this is increasing day by day. At the same time, in many cases, the test is subjected to sampling and destruction of the test sample. On the other hand, in many real conditions in industrial projects, it is not possible to sample or damage the desired piece of work and may require very high cost.
Nondestructive testing (NDT) is a test and testing method that does not cause any damage to the nature and function of the tested parts or assemblies. With the development of engineering knowledge and technology, nondestructive evaluatian and assessment have also been a significant development, and today it has made it possible for engineers perform standard tests and detect discontinuities and defects of the manufactured parts with the highest engineering accuracy and without damaging the testing parts. In this regard, the NDT laboratory of the RASF has been commissioned by experts with 2rd and 3rd level international ASNT and ISO 9712 certifications and advanced equipments ready to provide non-destructive testing services to many industries and our clientes.
The non-destructive tests available at this laboratury are as follows:
- Radiographic Testing (RT) Gamma and X-rays
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) contact method with A and B-Scan presentation
- Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Magnetic particle Testing (MT)
- Visual inspection (VT)
- Automated Immersion Ultrasonic Testing (IUT) with A,B and C-Scan presentation
- Ultrasonic thickness measurement
- FERITSCOPE FMP30 ,Measurement of the Ferrite Content in Austenitic and Duplex Steels (FT)
- Eddy Current Testing (ET)
- Surface Roughness Testing
- Infrared and thermal testing (IR)
- Leak testing (LT) or Leak detection
- Holiday Inspection Testing Coatings (used to locate discontinuities or “holidays” in a coating film)
- Non-destructive measurements of coating thicknesses (plastic, painting, coating, chrome, etc.)
