XRF & XRD Laboratory

Our Electron Optics Laborutary ecuipped with analytical instruments for elemental analysis, material research, structural and surface investigations. The X-ray lab contains two major research instruments, a ARL “ADVANT XP” X-ray fluorescence vacuum spectrometer equipped with a sample handler capable of dealing with 12 individual samples. The lab also has a high resolution GNR “EXPLORER” X-ray diffracto meter equipped with a 6-position sample changer, fast 1D detector and a ceramic Cu X-ray tube.

XRF analysis: fast elemental analysis

X-ray fluorescence is one of the best analytical techniques to perform elemental analysis in all kinds of samples. XRF combines highest accuracy and precision with fast sample preparation for the analysis of elements from Sodium (Na) to Uranium (U) in the concentration range from 100 % down to the sub-percent-level. Wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (WDXRF) is known for its very high accuracy, precision and reliability. This robust analytical technology has made its way into all kinds of industrial applications, such as cement, plastic, refineries, mining, and industrial minerals.
